The Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa (PMAESA) is an intergovernmental organization whose members are drawn from Port Authorities, Ministries of Transport, Corridor Authorities, Maritime Regulators, Commercial & Private Entities and other stakeholders with an interest in port and shipping activities, including maritime safety and protection of the environment, from the region.

The Association has expanded over the years to cover the whole sub-region, from Namibia to Sudan, including the Indian Ocean Islands, as well as some land-locked countries.

The Association works to provide its members with a platform to exchange best practices, ideas and information through conferences, sensitisation workshops and media interfaces in matters related to transport and trade facilitation

PMAESA has in place programmes to help it's stakeholders overcome the various and complex challenges facing African Ports and the African Maritime Industry.
