The Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa is an intergovernmental organization whose members are drawn from Port authorities, Ministries of Transport and other stakeholders with an interest in port and shipping activities, including maritime safety and protection of the environment, from the region. The Association has expanded over the years to cover the whole sub-region, from Namibia to Sudan, including the Indian Ocean Islands, as well as some land-locked countries.

The Association works to provide its members with a chance to exchange ideas and information through conferences, workshops and media interface in matters related to transport and trade facilitation
