The Port Management Association of Eastern & Southern Africa (PMAESA) the regional intergovernmental organization seeking to build consensus amongst Port Authorities, Terminal Operators, Line Ministries and Port & Maritime Stakeholders is pleased to welcome aboard Alpha Logistics Services (EPZ) Ltd as an Associate Member.

Alpha Logistics Services is one of the leading transport and logistics service provider and marine contractor, based in Kenya with a well-established and growing regional network in spanning from the Horn of Africa to Eastern and Southern Africa.

Alpha Logistics is specialized in supporting marine infrastructure construction projects.

Speaking on the new membership, PMAESA Secretary General Col. Andre Ciseau had this to say: “We are delighted to welcome Alpha Logistics Services on board PMAESA as a partner and member. Currently, in East Africa the freight transport cost component is the highest compared to other regions and still the region suffers from inefficiencies at all levels making it uncompetitive.”

“However, the growth and establishment of end-to-end logistics service providers from the private sector such as Alpha Logistics Services portends a bright future for this region and further afield. It is my sincere belief the private sector engagement in this sector is much needed to aid and supplement capacity building. This also points to a growing appetite for skilled labour force in the region which had hitherto not been realized.”
