Board Members from Sea Ports Corporation visit PMAESA Secretariat

The delegation from Sea Ports Corporation (SPC) comprised of General Manager, Dr Esameldin Hassabo and Head of Legal Department Dr Moatassim Sanosi.

The delegation was received by PMAESA Secretary General Col. Andre Ciseau in Mombasa on 1 October 2022. The visit primarily focused on keeping SPC abreast on PMAESA developments, in particular the recently concluded Board Meeting held for the first time in-person on 27 September 2022 in Durban, South Africa.

SPC sits on the PMAESA Board and occupies the seat of 2nd Vice-Chairperson. Dr Sanosi also sits in the PMAESA Legal Committee which provides legal oversight to the Association and Secretariat.

Col. Ciseau welcomed the delegation and encouraged SPC to continue participating in PMAESA initiatives.

Sea Ports Corporation is a state owned organization which governs, constructs and maintains the ports, harbors and lighthouses of Sudan. The company was founded in 1974 by the government of Sudan to be the national port operator and port authority.

Port Sudan which hosts the country’s main port, is strategically located and is the gateway for transit trade with neighbouring countries such as Ethiopia and Chad.
