Boluda Towage Joins PMAESA

The Port Management Association of Eastern & Southern Africa (PMAESA) the industry voice for Port Authorities, Terminal Operators, Line Ministries and Port & Maritime Stakeholders from the Eastern & Southern African region is pleased to welcome aboard Boluda Towage as an Associate Member.

Boluda Towage is one of the world’s leaders in the provision of integrated marine services for a wide range of clients from the maritime transport sector.

Speaking on the development, PMAESA Secretary General Col. Andre Ciseau had this to say: “We are delighted to have Boluda Towage on board as a member and a partner. The global transition to green energy in the maritime industry cannot be over-stated. We believe our newest member is well positioned to assist in main-streaming the usage of carbon-neutral energy sources in the maritime transport value chain. Greening of port operations is one of PMAESA’s top priorities and this is embedded in our upcoming strategy.”

Col. Ciseau further added: “With maritime transport identified as a huge contributor to Green House Gas emissions, stakeholders on the shore-side have to implement concrete and holistic measures to their operations are sustainable and environmentally friendly. This is vital especially after the industry emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
