Courtesy Visit to Tanzania Ports Authority

PMAESA Secretary General Col. Andre Ciseau paid a courtesy call to Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) on 18 August 2022 in Dar es Salaam.
The Secretary General took the opportunity to congratulate in-person Director General Mr Plasduce Mbossa after his appointment in July 2022.
Col. Ciseau reiterated his support to TPA and encouraged them to engage regularly with PMAESA at the Board and Technical Committee Level in order for stronger inter-organizational cooperation.
On his part, Mr Mbossa expressed appreciation for the visit and assured Col. Ciseau of his full support. Mr Mbossa cited that PMAESA had a unique role in inter-linking port authorities in the region and facilitating dialogue and exchange of best-practise and capacity building for port authority staff at the technical level.
Mr Mbossa also mentioned that neighbouring ports should not viewed as competing with each other but should be seen as complementing each other to reflect the needs of respective regions or countries.
Col. Ciseau was accompanied by representatives from the Tanzania Shippers Council, Mr Sallu Johnson (Secretary) and Mr Clement William Kamendu (Chairman).
