Port Reunion keen to Participate in PMAESA Activities

PMAESA Secretary General Col. Andre Ciseau held discussions with Port Reunion Chief Executive Officer Mr Eric Legrigeois in Le Port Cedex, Reunion on 15 November 2019 to discuss how PMAESA and Port Reunion can benefit mutually.
Mr Legrigeois reiterated that Port Reunion is ready to work with PMAESA and can be counted upon as a strong ally to the Association.
Col. Ciseau during his meeting with Mr. Legrigeois stated it welcomes Port Reunion to participate in PMAESA activities.
Established on 1 January 2013, following the merger of the Ports and Airports Services and the port concession of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Reunion, the Grand Port Maritime Reunion is the first gateway to the territory.
It is a multi-functional port, serving commercial, passenger and naval vessels. It also features a yacht marina and fishing port.
Due to its location on between Africa and Asia, Reunion Island enjoys a strategic position at the heart of international trade in the Southern Hemisphere. This position is a real lever for the economic development and attractiveness of the island to shipping lines.
