WOMESA Kenya Chapter Hosts PMAESA Secretariat for Courtesy Call

Members of the Association for Women in the Maritime Sector in Eastern and Southern Africa (WOMESA) network from the PMAESA Secretariat paid a courtesy call on the Chairperson of the WOMESA Kenya Chapter, Ms Winnie Maina and her team at their Headquarters at the Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) Towers, Mombasa.

The PMAESA delegation, led by Secretary General – Col. Andre Ciseau, held discussions with the WOMESA Kenya National Chapter focusing on strategies to enhance professional synergies and collaboration.


In recognition of WOMESA Kenya’s contribution to the preparation, production and successful launch of the ‘PMAESA@50’ Handbook, Col. Ciseau presented a copy of the commemorative publication as a token of appreciation and symbol of the jointly achieved milestone.


As a regional organization, the PMAESA Secretariat reaffirmed its commitment to continued collaboration and support for WOMESA initiatives that empower and develop women in the maritime sector across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Ms. Maina, in her capacity as the WOMESA Regional Ad Hoc representative, welcomed the proposal to formalize a partnership agreement with PMAESA.

The MOU would signify a shared dedication to promoting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities for women in the maritime industry.
